    • WaPORIPA (version 1) github repository

      As part of the course, we updated our WaPORWP repository on github, which was developed under the WaPOR phase 2 project (using the WaPORv2 database). The WaPORIPA repository has updated functions using xarray and is able to utilise both WaPORv3 data and pyWaPOR outputs. You can use the current version 1 to calculate the following indicators:

      Land and water productivity

      • Water consumption (AETI)
      • Green and blue water consumption
      • Dry biomass production and yield (requires crop type information)
      • Water Productivity (biomass and/or crop)

      Irrigation performance indicators

      • Adequacy compared to Crop Water Requirement
      • Beneficial Fraction
      • Uniformity
      • Relative water deficit

      In addition, we have updated the crop and yield gap script from WaPORWP (Module 4).

      Codes to develop a dashboard for Irrigation Performance Assessment Indicators Dashboard for an Irrigation Scheme. The steps to developed the dashboards;

      1. download WaPOR data

      2. Compute irrigation performance indicators

      3. Visualize the indicators using a dashboard

      To use the codes, one need to create a python environment with the required packages. Use the requirement.txt file to install the required packages.

      Crop map per season is needed to compute the IPA indicators. Corp map processing script is included to process the crop maps. an example dataset (Middle-Delta-Zemam) is included.
