  Introduction
  Though most water professionals understand various aspects of climate change there is no common understanding of the basic aspects. There are a plenty of misconceptions about climate change and its impacts which can easily misled general public, professionals, as well as prospective students of IHE Delft. This online course aims to address all the aforementioned basic questions and is a compilation of various open online resource materials developed by IPCC, USEPA, WWF and other institutions.
  
  For whom?
  This course is for (future) students of IHE.
  
  Dates and fees
  
  This course is a preporatory course for new Master students at IHE Delft and should be finished before starting the Master's programme starts.
  
  Learning objectives
  
  Remember the physical science basis of climate change
  Identify the impacts of climate change
  Recognise the risks related to climate change
  Recall the key concepts in climate action
  Define climate justice, climate action and enabling mechanisms
  List the actions taken by individuals, organisations and governments in adapting to and mitigating climate change
  
  Working methods
  
  Not all the water professionals have the expertise and time to go through the IPCC literature. Hence we are presenting a selection of videos, lectures and reading material that are mostly available in the public domain.
  At the end of each topic there is an evaluation section, where you have to answer ten question upon completion of each section. You can proceed to the next section only if you have answered six or more questions correctly. You will also learn during the assessment as the correct answer and the explanation for the answer will appear even if you choose the wrong answer. Hope by end of this online module you have a good understanding about all the basic aspects of Climate change.
  As a course participant you are expected to read the course material, watch the videos and able to have basic knowledge about climate change before you begin you masters programme at IHE Delft. You are expected to answer the questions at end of every section and score above 6 in order to complete this online course and earn your credit.

  Impacts of climate change
  Understanding risks related to climate change
  Key concepts in climate action
  Climate justice, climate governance and enabling mechanisms
  Individual and collective actions for change
  The entire course duration is approximately 9 hours on-screen time = 27 of student workload hours
