Overview section 2
I hope you enjoyed the first part of this course! We will now look into the interactions between technology and people. Designing and operating an irrigation system is not a purely technical exercise, as for example people decide what infrastructure to build, when and how long to open a gate, and someone receives water that might or might not fulfill his/her demands. There are people with ideas, norms and interests behind all these choices. You will learn different modes of interaction between technology and society. So we focus on these questions:
1. How do technology and society interact?
2. Why is that relevant?
