WSP for Small Systems- Task 6

For each important operations or maintenance task, complete the following template by documenting step-by-step instructions for carrying out the task. You will need a separate sheet for every task. These instructions will give the operator or caretaker confidence that he or she always knows what to do and when. The instructions will also be very useful when new caretakers need to be trained.

In addition, you will be thinking about what you should do in the case of an emergency. You will need to consider what could go wrong and decide who should be contacted first to help to manage the situation. You will also need to decide how to deliver important messages to the community quickly: for example, the need to boil water. It is also helpful to identify alternative water sources that can be used if needed during the emergency.

For this assignment, you will fill in one instruction for an operation and maintenance task and the emergency response plan for one emergency scenario.
