RE: Compliance with Protection of Personal Information Act No.4 2013 (South Africa) (POPI Act) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The remainder of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 came into effect in South Africa on the 1st of July 2021. As we are operating jointly on EU and South African platforms, to ensure that we, as the WEF Nexus Masterclass Organising Team, are GDPR and POPIA compliant regarding the processing of your personal information in a reasonable manner that does not infringe on your right to privacy, it is necessary to obtain your consent for being part of our WEF Nexus Masterclass Participants database. As such, you are hereby notified that you are entitled to refuse such consent, and you may exercise this right by notifying any member of the WEF Nexus Masterclass Organising Team before the 15th of June 2023.  

Should no communication be made at this point, it will be assumed that you have consented to be part of our database and that your personal information (i.e., name, affiliation, and contact details) will be visible to the team members of the WEF Nexus Masterclass organising team (current and future members).
