Video lecture - irrigation as a property-creating process

Now have a look at the video lecture on property creation and interventions, by Annelieke Duker. After watching, try to answer the questions below.

Study questions:

1. Informal of farmer-led smallholder irrigation is often regarded as inefficient, and not significantly contributing to the national economy. However, these types of irrigation may be more sustainable than formal irrigation systems because of the strong property relations and interdependencies among the users. Do you know of such an example in your country? What do you think about it? If you think it could be more sustainable, why (not)?

2. Now think about your own experience again; with the concept of hydraulic property in mind, what did your project do well, and what could be improved?
