Write a report (max 2 pages + the framework) where you describe the case study selected, elaborate the Hoff’s Analytical Framework (Table 1) and answer the two questions using the information collected from the case study that you have selected.  

NB: This is an assignment that has to be submitted on the OCW platform by January 30th at 23:59 (CET time). 

Please note that the submission system will close on January 30th at 23:59 (CET time).

It is recommended to read The Hoff et al., 2019 paper https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fenvs.2019.00048/full and the Limpopo case study overview example before working on the assignment.

Assignment tasks

This assignment consists of three complementary tasks that are meant to prepare you for the iWEF sessions. Submit the assignment with your Name and Surname (label the files as “iWEF Assignment 2024_Name-Surname”) on the OCW platform by 30^th of January 2024 at 23:59 (CET Time).

1.       Choose a country case study that you are well familiar with, such as your country (or state) of origin or where you are currently living/working/studying from. Secure a shapefile for your chosen case study, preferably in .geojson or .shp format.

2.        Use the scale provided below to pairwise rank the performance of the six indicators for your chosen case study in Table 1. Refer to the “Background” section for the definitions of the six indicators.
