Welcome to IHE Delft! Starting a new phase in your academic career can be daunting, starting it in a new country even more, however, you will have support from IHE's student affairs department throughout. You will (have) spend a lot of time preparing for the start of your MSc programme. This online course is made to help you with that. It contains online learnings to complete at your own pace, webinars, and other useful bits of information, advice, and reminders of key deadlines.
Important: this course is not the same as the preparatory courses you might have for your MSc programme. This only touches on non-academic matters such as immigration, accommodation and day-to-day life while living abroad. If you were asked to participate in any preparatory courses, make sure to do so as well.
Here you can also find the links to relevant on-boarding webinars. Topics could be Housing or the Dutch healthcare system by AON student insurer.
See below what webinars are currently offered for you.Activités : 1 -
Once you've been financially admitted, one of the first things you need to do is make sure you can actually travel to the Netherlands.
You won't find detailed information about, for example, the residence permit application in this course. Just two key actions to keep in mind. Instead, please refer to the preparation guide and to the information received by email from your Fellowship and Admission Officer and/or from visaadministration@un-ihe.org for detailed instructions regarding the process specifically for you.

What happens when you become sick in the Netherlands? And how does your AON insurance policy work? The Dutch healthcare system may be different from what you are used to. If you have any pre-existing health concerns and/or you take chronic medication, you should start familiarizing yourself with healthcare in the Netherlands early. But even if you don’t have any health concerns, it’s still good to learn what to expect ahead of time.
