Session #4 - 15 April 2025
During this session we will do two things:
(1) MSc thesis topics (10:00-12:30 hrs)
Go into your basin group.
Share your MSc thesis topics, and briefly discuss. Focus on methodology and data collection.
After all have presented and discussed their topics, discuss whether the thesis topics cover the most important aspects of the basin plan of your basin, and identify any important aspect that is missing.
Present your finding to the other basin groups in a plenary session.
(2) Basin plans (13:30-15:30 hrs)
Go again into your basin group.
Redo the exercise of 21 March but now for your particular river basin plan (for the Tekeze, use the Tekeze-Setite-Atbara sub-basin plan developed by ENTRO in 2009), and answer all 7 questions (see the revised pdf, below). Find the materials of your basin plan on this e-campus site (https://ocw.un-ihe.org/mod/folder/view.php?id=19951). Draw conclusions for the way forward.
Present your findings to the other basin groups in a plenary session.
