Most of this work will not cost you money, but it is still essential to consider what resources you’ll need in order to execute your communications strategy. The following questions help you consider some of these.
Write down how key people might help you get your strategy up and running e.g. advice from communications officer, approval from supervisor.
How much of your time per week do you think the communications strategy will take up? How much of others’ time will it take up? Write this down.
Find out if there is a budget for communications that you can use to disseminate your work.
Note down anything that you think might cost money. E.g. access to advanced features of a Twitter-scheduling tool. Make a list of all costs and check it against the budget available to you.
