Introduction [Text]

In the previous module we have analysed the difficulties of producing future climate projections and the challenges in terms of using these projections for planning.

In this module we will explore climate change implications for water resources and uses by zooming in a specific case study, the Nile basin, and by looking at climate change impact through the lenses of the water-food-energy nexus. While exploring the Nile basin case, you will be asked to reflect on your own country or region.

This module has been prepared by Lama El Hatow, who is an Egyptian environmental engineer, co-founder of the think tank "Water Institute for the Nile" .  Lama works as consultant on climate change and water for local and international organisations and she is a PhD candidate at Erasmus University in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).
